2000

In January Sydtotal starts its business from Stadiongatan in Malmö. Erling Pålsson becomes the majority owner after six months and sales take off.

2001

Our in-house project management system CAMvent comes on stream. Sydtotal gets its first large order from MAS University hospital in Malmö. The manufacturing company Totalplåt is established. Sydtotal opens a branch in Karlskrona.

2002

Sydtotal starts up its own service organisation. The offices are moved to Fosievägen in Malmö. Sydtotal gets its first large overseas order, in the Örestad area of Copenhagen.

2003

Amid tough competition, Sydtotal lands a large international order worth over 150 MSEK for a delivery to an oil and gas project in Kazakstan. On home turf, Sydtotal expands its service organisation by opening a branch office in Ystad.

2004

Sydtotal almost doubles its turnover – topping 300 MSEK with good profitability, and reinforces its position as the leading ventilation contractor in southern Sweden. Once again, Sydtotal lands a gigantic order worth over 135 MSEK, taking on total responsibility for installations at the new University in Malmö. Göran Engdahl takes over as the MD for Sydtotal AB. The headquarters move to the current address at Stenyxegatan in Malmö.

2005

Sydtotal starts contracting operations in Helsingborg, Stockholm, Västerås and Dalarna. This expansion to other parts of Sweden pays off in the form of several large projects including IKEA stores in Kalmar and Haparanda. Turnover exceeds 400 MSEK and Sydtotal is now the third largest ventilation contractor in Sweden.

2006

Sydtotal starts contracting operations in Kronoberg county. Sydtotal IT is established with its sights set on the property branch. Turnover drops but profitability increases considerably, and a number of large orders are won across Sweden.

2007

Priveq Investment becomes the new majority owner in the Sydtotal group. Sydtotal acquires a branch from NVS and opens an office in Ronneby. Sydtotal ventures into the energy sector. Several high prestige projects are won in tough competition, e.g. Citytunneln in Malmö with a value of 90 MSEK. Turnover and profit break new records. The group’s turnover increases by 18% to 441 MSEK (374 MSEK). The group’s profit increases by 70% to 39.5 MSEK (23.2 MSEK).

2008

Sydtotal opens offices in Uppsala and Torsby. Orders are still good and turnover increases by 23% to 542 MSEK. The profit before goodwill is 55 MSEK (10%) as compared with 9% for 2007. A new group-wide organisation is introduced intended to further increase efficiency in administration, marketing and purchasing. Erling Pålsson is appointed CEO.

2009

Sydtotal takes a large step toward the goal of being a national ventilation company when it acquires the leading ventilation companies in Jönköping and Huskvarna and signs an agreement to acquire JPAB Installationsteknik in Luleå. Prestigious Cardells in Jönköping and Sture Boströms Ventilation in Huskvarna together create Sydtotal i Jönköping AB with Per Sokoloff as MD. Despite the economic downturn, Sydtotal increases its turnover by 14% to 618 MSEK with a profit (EBITA) of 8%. At the end of the year, Sydtotal wins the order to implement the ventilation contract for the new National arena, Swedbank Arena, to be built in Solna. Erling Pålsson is voted the most enterprising businessman of the year in Malmö.
